Arianna Danielle Adams

Danielle went into labor on the 15th at 10:00 pm. She texted me at 2:30 am... But I didnt know this. Mom called me at 7:30 and said did you get your text? So I jumped up out of bed and hurried and threw an overnight bag together and got dressed. Grabbed a sleeping Kade and hurried out to the car. He was a little confused as to what was going on. Its a two hour drive to Logan. We arrived at 8:30. Danielle had been at the hospital for 1-2 hours. She had been checked a little before we arrived and was at 5 cm. The nurse wanted her to stay on the monitor for a little while. When she was able to get up she sat on the birthing ball and they were able to monitor her like this. She sat on the ball for about an hour and a half. It really got her contractions going. The contractions started piggy backing after probably 20 min of that she was ready to get back on the bed and be checked. She was already to an 8! so she was making great progress. So she laid on the bed for a while it slowed her contractions back down so she could actually have a break in between them. But it only took about 20-maybe 30 mins of laying there and she was feeling pushy. So the nurse checked her again and she barely had a lip of cervix so she told her to go ahead and start pushing when she felt like it. She got the baby right down and the doctor got there and she pushed her out. Had only a minor tear that took 2 stitches. Arianna was 8 lbs 5 ounces and 20 inches long. Danielle did so wonderful! And the baby is beautiful and nursing great. here are a couple of photos.
